SAVANNAH, GA— An solo art exhibition by emerging artist, Ronit Joy Holtz from Kadima, Israel. The exhibition, BRIDGE: A Covenantal Narrative, opened at the third oldest Synagogue in the United States, Congregation Mickve Israel. BRIDGE: A Covenantal Narrative highlight’s Holtz’s personal covenant calling between Israel and the United States and her desire to act as a bridge between Christianity and Judaism. Holtz narrates the redemption of the Jewish people to show that after the Holocaust, a whole nation arose from the ashes. The blue and white stripes of the concentration camp uniforms were then redeemed to create the blue and white stripes on the flag of Israel. Overall, Holtz’s work bridges together biblical symbols that enrich the understanding of Israel’s story through culture, spirituality history and personal narration.
